The grandeur of the building celebrates its identity as the new cultural landmark of Baoan. The ground is lifted up to introduce a public sunken courtyard in the front and the sports field for Coastal Primary School at the back.

The greenery along the central axis of Baoan cracks into the massive building to allow light and air while differentiating the three museums. The Art Gallery is squeezed betwen the two formal Contemporary Gallery and Traditional Museum. Cracks of greenery functions as filter spaces between the exhibition areas, which provide visitors indoor/outdoor rhythm inside the museum space.
